Mass psychosis can occur when there is centralized state power coupled with the obliteration of individual human rights. In mass psychosis, people can become victims of an idea that leads to their enslavement, such as in Nazi Germany. In this totalitarian society, there are the rulers and the ruled. Society elevates the rulers to an almost god-like group that becomes addicted to their power, as illustrated by the Nazi greeting “Heil Hitler.” When a ruling elite becomes possessed by an ideology of their own, they pursue menticide, which is the killing of the sound mind. The witch hunts of the 16th century killed thousands of women, not because they committed a crime, but because they became scapegoats of a mad society. What makes matters worse is that people who suffer from mass psychosis are unaware of the forces intent on their destruction.

When mass psychosis occurs, society is devastated. So what triggers menticide? Fear fueled by negative emotions starts it. This fear drives society into a state of panic where people seek relief. When fear dominates, a population succumbs to the delusions of madness. In 2 Timothy 1:7, the Bible tells us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Until 1962 when the Supreme Court took prayer out of schools, even non-Christians possessed a Christian-like character and belief system rooted in the teachings of the Bible.

The most effective technique to spread fear is what is called waves of terror. Waves of terror take place where periods of calm are interrupted by periods of anxiety. Each wave of terror builds from a higher plateau. Victims of delusion escape from their negative emotions, but at the cost of losing touch with reality. The rulers of the universe control people who never pay attention or only pay attention to news controlled by the puppet masters. When people isolate themselves, when they lose contact with reality, they succumb to new thought patterns. It only takes one generation of deceived people to transform from a free society to a non-free society.
