The Azov Battalion is a neo-Nazi anti-Semitic military unit established in Ukraine in 2014 following the Maidan Revolution. The Maidan Revolution occurred when the Western powers dethroned pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych in a coup. The people of Ukraine elected Viktor Yanukovych as president in 2010. He served as president until the western powers removed him from office in 2014 when he fled to Russia to avoid assassination. The Euromaidan protests opposed the Western Powers in an attempt to keep Ukraine independent and democratic. Since the western powers installed Volodymyr Zelenskyy as president of Ukraine, Zelenskyy has banned all opposing political parties. Now for the first time since 1945, an anti-Semitic party controls key levers of state power in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The regime change prompted the outbreak of an ongoing civil war in the east of Ukraine, between Russian-backed separatists and the US-backed Ukrainian army, that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands and displaced millions. Zelenskyy has refused to honor the Minsk agreements of 2014 and 2015. The purpose of the Minsk agreement was to end the conflict between Ukraine and the pro-Russian eastern republics of Ukraine, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
The Azov Battalion has been the mainstay of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Battalion is openly anti-Semitic and espouses the views held by Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian Nazi collaborator responsible for ethnic cleansing in Germany during the second world war. The war in Ukraine has attracted mercenaries from many parts of the world eager to join the Azov Battalion in its fight against Russia. Consequently, Azov has recruited American extremists to join the war against Russia. A shooter killed ten people in a mass shooting in Buffalo, New York. The shooter, Payton Gendron, shared the same philosophy as the Azov Battalion. On the first page of his lengthy 180-page manifesto, he featured the black sun symbol on the Azov official insignia. Another mass shooter, Brenton Tarrant, also displayed this insignia who posted his 74-page manifesto before killing 51 people in Christchurch, New Zealand. These two occurrences have become a rallying cry for neo-Nazis worldwide.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a key ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, has warned that Western countries supplying weapons to Ukraine could lead to a nuclear war. In a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio, he warned that international efforts to bolster Ukraine’s security could lead to the conflict expanding into another world war, according to Belarusian state media outlet Belta. Lukashenko urged countries to unite and prevent the regional contest in Europe from escalating into a full-scale world war. Given the gravity of the situation in Ukraine, it is a mystery that so many people who oppose the policies of President Biden support him when it comes to the war in Ukraine. It is also a mystery why evangelical Christians support war and support an anti-Semitic neo-Natzi group in Ukraine. With so many countries and groups supporting Biden’s sanctions against Russia, the world is on the brink of total economic collapse and mass starvation. The conflict in Ukraine is the beginning of World War 3. Could we be witnessing the most extreme case of the Hegelian Dialectic, where the world’s response to a perceived threat will lead to destruction?

Clearly the corruption of man runs deep and wide. Ukraine has deep problems as does Russia. And we should not trust either with abandonment of verification. Zelensky professes to be Jewish, so hard to believe he would be anti-semetic. The USA makes many foreign policy mistakes and having President Biden flying the plane, steering a moped or even riding a donkey is a perilous journey. I do not know of evangelical Christians in favor of this war or neo-nazis support. I do believe there are christians struggling with how to pray against an invading Russian force and a Ukrainian defense. That puzzles me. Russia, Ukraine and the USA need to clean up their acts, meanwhile the church needs to pray for peace and that a sovereign nation like Ukraine (trying to escape years of Russian dominance and influence) needs to defeat their invaders.

Since 2014, Ukraine has not been a sovereign nation when all political parties were banned except the party supported by America and NATO, which the US dominates. So Ukraine is not independent and it is not a democracy. Since 2014, Ukraine has waged war against the Dunbar region in direct violation of the Minsk agreements. Partially, Russia attacked because of Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements and to save the Russian-speaking people of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered Minsk Protocol was designed to give the Dunbass region special status within the Ukrainian state. In my opinion, Russia has no intention of dominating the western parts of Ukraine, its objective is to free the people of Donetsk and Lugansk from being annihilated by Ukraine. When Russia gains control of this Russian-speaking region and these people are given their freedom, the war will end.
I am looking into forming a discussion board on this website. Freedom is about the sharing of ideas despite differences of opinions.
