The term mass formation psychosis was first popularized by Dr. Mattias Desmet. He has a book on the subject soon to be published titled The Origins of Totalitarianism.
Mass psychosis occurs when people lose contact with reality. Mass formation psychosis is when a large part of society focuses its attention on an issue or a series of events. Mass psychosis hypnotizes people into believing a false narrative regardless of data proving otherwise. Mass psychosis develops when people become disassociated from each other socially. Cell phones, the internet, lockdowns, the woke movement, mask mandates, and fear exasperate this mass psychosis. The young generation increasingly feels like there is no center to rally around. Shallow social media relationships have replaced meaningful physical relationships. The center has given way so that people feel disconnected from one another. Under these conditions, people develop a sense of free-floating anxiety. Anxiety is a good thing when it warns us of a specific danger. For example, you can have a mental picture of a car speeding toward you, causing anxiety. But there is also free-floating anxiety, where you can be anxious, but you are not sure the source of your anxiety. Free-floating anxiety combined with anger can cause people to lose their social compass.
Free-floating anxiety occurs when people cannot focus on one specific thing. When a significant event happens, or a series of events, such as 9-11, global warming, Covid-19, and the war in Ukraine, people tend to focus on that event. Nefarious people can weaponize this fear to control us. When organizations, such as the World Economic Forum, team up with governments and the media to spread stories of a killer epidemic, mass formation psychosis takes hold of the population. People become obsessed to the point where they block out everything else, including the truth. When the mainline news reinforces and exaggerates images of this killer virus, the news tends to hypnotize people. Now, almost everyone becomes focused on this event that threatens them. People become blind to any information that contradicts their belief system. For example, you will be censored from social media platforms if you say anything that discourages people from being vaccinated, even if what you say is true and accurate. People who felt disconnected from others now have a shared connection and a new sense of belonging. They are now a part of a tribe with shared beliefs and common goals. They can form a group and acquire a sense of belonging. Now they belong to a group obsessed with the virus, and this obsession unifies them against this singular enemy.
Now we have a leader that enters the picture. This leader can appear from within, like Adolph Hitler in 1930’s Germany, or from without, like when the western powers put Lenin in a sealed boxcar headed to the Finland Station in Russia. The leader will take control of the narrative claiming that he has the solution to the problem. People are convinced that this leader can ease their anxiety as long as they follow his instructions, regardless of data proving otherwise. With Covid, that leader was Tony Fauci. Tony Fauci was not the actual leader but a frontman for the cabal of conspirators behind the scenes. Fauci convinced people that the new mRNA experimental treatment could solve their problem. The common threat now has a solution, and people become obsessed with the solution. The caveat is that everyone has to participate for the solution to succeed. People become hypnotized into believing that vaccination is the only solution to bring back normalcy. Any ideas, any remedies, that oppose vaccination must be suppressed and censored. Freedom and independence are lost when enough people buy into the official narrative. It does not take a majority to usher in the Great Reset envisioned by Klaus Swab and the World Economic Forum. A committed minority will suffice.
