To our fellow Canadians, the time for political overreach is over. Our current government is implementing rules and mandates that are destroying the foundation of our businesses, industries, and livelihoods. Canadians have been integral to the fabric of humanity in many ways that have shaped the planet. We are a peaceful country that has helped protect nations across the globe from tyrannical governments who oppressed their people, and now it is happening here. We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people. Small businesses are being destroyed, homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities to survive. It is our duty as Canadians to put an end to these mandates. It is imperative that this happens because if we do not our country will no longer be the country we have come to love. Under pressure from the Canadian government, GoFundMe froze about ten million dollars of the convoy’s official campaign money, claiming law enforcement convinced the company that the convoy had become violent and unlawful. After stating that the company would donate the trucker’s money to charities of its choice and then offering a refund to doners who requested a refund, it finally agreed to return the money to everyone. GoFundMe decided to refund the money only after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said that he would investigate the company, accusing them of fraud and after the Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation against GoFundMe. “GoFundMe supports peaceful protests and we believe that was the intention of the Freedom Convoy 2022 fundraiser when it was first created. We now have evidence from law enforcement that the previously peaceful demonstration has become an occupation, with police reports of violence and other unlawful activity,” Yet there has been no violence at the protest.

 Donors are turning to Christian organizations such as GiveSendGo. Posting from its official Gab account and also on Twitter, GiveSendGo stated that the courts of Canada have no jurisdiction over the company and that the Freedom Convoy will receive its funds as normal. The company’s statement reads: “Know this! Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign.” Click here for a list of 12 Christian Crowdfunding Platforms.
