America has a two-tier justice system. While authorities release Antifa Black Lives Matter rioters from jail while dropping all charges, individuals arrested in Washington DC on January 6 languish in the Washington DC jail for a year. Action against these Americans is a political witch hunt against Republicans and anyone who supports Donald Trump. Authorities have consistently denied them constitutional rights. In 2015, investigators filed a report that revealed mold, vermin, and water leaks at the jail. In 2021, the Marshall Service found the jail to be inhospitable. They have been beaten by the guards who call them white supremacists, denied hair cuts, not allowed to shave, and refused hygiene to make them look like criminals. They have been forbidden to attend religious services, denied time with their lawyers, refused family visits, and forced into solitary confinement for weeks when they ask to speak with a lawyer. Why can authorities refuse them bail without even charging them with a crime?

Every night at nine o’clock, these patriots put their hands over their hearts and sing the National Anthem. One can disagree with what took place on January 6, but we should all agree to protect our freedom. Freedom is not free, and all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. If we allow injustice, who will protect us when tyrants threaten our freedom? We have a constitution to protect us from tyrants, but we must exercise our rights. Something is amiss when Congress cares more about their political agenda than they do about rioters burning our cities, murdering our citizens, and trashing our constitution. Our freedom is threatened when Congress uses the Department of Justice, the FBI, the jails, the guards, and any other means possible to ensure that no one messes with them.

It is against the law to punish anyone in pretrial confinement. Punishment can only come after a conviction. And yet the treatment of these patriots is a form of punishment. Even though the Democrats in Congress call January 6 an armed insurrection, no one has been charged with insurrection. If we accuse anyone of insurrection, it would be the government agents on January 6 encouraging protesters to do violence, to the point of offering demonstrators weapons. Let’s never forget the warnings of Martin Niemoller speaking of Nazi Germany “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and no one was left to speak for me.”
